Summary of benefits

When reviewing alternative business continuity solutions for your DR plans, the following table should help you determine the strengths of our solution to others on the market.

BasicsBCOther
Managed: There's nothing for you to do day-to-day, except take a removable disk
off-site as often as you wish. We monitor the back-ups and let you know if there's a problem - and then own it to resolution;
tick
Simple: Recovery of an individual file is a simple drag and drop at LAN speeds (not off Internet);tick
Test Restores: No need for you to attend DR sites for testing - simply request a test restore on-demand. We do the rest, leaving you to look over the restored server;tick
Roll-backs: On-line roll-backs available (typically 1 month);tick
Portable: The back-up images are "bare metal" - totally tranferrable between hardware;tick
Full recovery: If you have a problem, it's good to know we own its recovery - we don't just send you your data back on a disk;tick
Cost effective: Business Continuum provides a fixed price (no "data volume creep") for £780 per server per year, including 2 test restores?tick
Licensed: Unless you have subscribed to Microsoft's Software Assurance, you are not entitled to run a second instance of your server (for Test Restores). Business Continuum provides that license through a facility called SPLA.tick
Restores
C1 (Data deletion).
Do you have instant access to restore individual files including old deleted files?
tick
C2 (Loss of server or server integrity).
Would your repaired/replaced server be completely reloaded for you (not just data sent back to you on a disk)?
tick
C3 (Loss of offices).
Would you be provided with new "ready to go" server(s) to either an alternative location or hosted for remote access from any Internet-served location?

SLAs & Costs
Are you offered target recovery times (not just response times) and are they adequate and realistic?tick
Are you provided with pre-set costs for recoveries (and not held to ransom should you ever need a recovery?)tick
