Business Continuum pre-requisites:
The following 4 simple pre-requisites are required to deliver the Business Continuum business continuity service:
1. LDM location
Identify a discreet location where the LDM will have power and a CAT5 point. It needs unhindered airflow from its sides (it runs very quietly) and is W43 x 9H x 39D cm (size of small desktop PC);
2. Internet line
Internet line that is either: aDSL (minimum 20:1, ½Mb), sDSL, leased or other permanent Internet connection (min. 250K outbound). We can help
3. Firewall
Open port 4744 on your firewall(s). This port is outbound only and has been specifically registered for Business Continuum with IANA (see http://www.iana.org/assignments/port-numbers) in order to allow data synchronisation with the data vaults.
4. PC applications
The original install disks for all your PC applications. We will both install them (for Test Restores) and copy the application image in case we have to re-load them onto a Terminal Server and PCs following a Severity Level 4 (office loss).
