Business Continuum pre-requisites:
There are only 3 simple pre-requisites to deliver Business Continuum service:
1. LDM location
Identify a discreet but readily accesible location where the LDM will also have power and a Gb CAT5 point (100Mb insufficient). It needs unhindered airflow from its sides (it runs very quietly) and is size of small desktop PC.
2. Firewall
Open port 4744 on your firewall(s). This port is outbound only and has been specifically registered for Business Continuum with IANA ( http://www.iana.org/assignments/port-numbers) in order to allow data synchronisation with the data vaults.
3. Applications
The original install disks for all your server & PC applications. They will be required for Test Restores (e.g you need Sage to open a Sage file to check its uptodate) and in the event of loss of your office PCs.
