Network Health Audit
We offer two levels of Health-Check Audit:
1. Basic audit - £350:
This is appropriate for the smaller network of up to 3 servers at the head office. The objective is to identify any current or likely issues that will affect the performance of your network, including basic resilience precautions. The audit reviews:
- Servers, PCs & printers;
- System logs, including back-ups;
- Antivirus status;
- Firewall;
- Internet services.
The resulting report includes:
- Triaged observations:
Red: Significant issues that need to be addressed asap (e.g. RAID failure, no back-ups);
Amber: Elements for consideration over the medium term;
Green: Not "best practice" but nor an immediate problem;
- Recommendations;
- Indicative pricing to correct (if any). You'll appreciate we will need to address any Red items prior to implementing any IT outsourcing agreement (NetCare) with us;
- Summary of hardware specifications.
The £350 Basic Audit cost is returned to you if you take out a NetCare contract.
2. Discovery Report - POA:
This is more suitable for the larger networks, due diligence company reports and DR planning preparations. In addition to the Basic audit, we also cover:
- More in-depth review of the server configurations (including DNS, DHCP, WINS);
- Design commentary, including Single Points of Failure;
- WAN review, including topology drawing and IP schema;
- Issues within each server;
- Microsoft license review (optional).
The resulting report is far more in-depth, customised to the nature, size and our findings on your network. Individual observations are commented on at each stage concluding in a cohesive summary & action plan. For examples, please ask to see a previous report, although you'll appreciate they'll be sanitised to protect the identity of the original company.
