Cyber Security Awareness Month is the ideal time to focus on your business practices

October is Cyber Security Awareness Month; the ideal opportunity to ensure your business has suitable measures in place to keep data and information safe.

Remote working and BYOD policies are commonplace but a disparate workforce still brings its own challenges. Monitoring multiple entry points can easily become a full-time job.

You may have discussed cyber security best practice when you initiated these new policies however it’s important to re-educate staff regularly, especially as the threat landscape changes so frequently and new threats come into being every day.

Ensuring employees are aware of the latest threats is important but there are many things you can do as a business to improve your cyber security practice:

  • Strengthen defences – firewalls, filtering and end-point security are essential to protect your business against evolving malware and malicious attacks
  • Ensure business continuity – have a plan in place to deal with any disruption and data backups to protect against information loss
  • Monitor your network – continuous network monitoring detects and resolves issues faster, preventing costly disruption to services. If you don’t have the resource to do this internally, outsourcing your IT can help

IntraLAN, in addition to our award-winning IT Managed Service offering, now has a suite of cybersecurity services that are able to effortlessly protect your organisation from the digital threats that you worry about today.

Contact sales@intralan.co.uk to learn more about how we can seamlessly protect your company assets, ensure GDPR compliance and provide peace of mind.
